About Andy

I am Andy Lord, a Yorkshire based optimist. I take photographs for branding and advertising. I work throughout the UK and further afield when required.

I love what I do, which might seem an obvious thing to say. Except I actually mean it. I grew up taking photographs and after university and a spell thinking my job should involve a regular commute, spreadsheets and suchlike, I came to my senses and returned to that love of distilling the world before my eyes into a rectangle that says all that needs to be said.

Photography is at the intersection between reality and imagination. While what I do is grounded in the everyday scenes around us, it is my role to tease a little magic from the ordinary.
